What makes AI useful in the workplace? For us, the starting point is the work people do every day and where technology can help.
Netatech is featured in “Making AI Work for People”, part of CNA’s Workforce Transformation: People At The Core series. Published on 15 October 2026, the segment explores how Netatech developed its own AI solutions to address tedious tasks, improve workflows and empower employees.
Starting with everyday needs
The feature highlights a practical approach to AI adoption: developing solutions around the needs of the business and its people.
For an engineering business, this is a useful starting point. The value of a new tool depends on how well it helps people handle the demands of their work. A clearer workflow or less repetitive administration can create more room for tasks that require experience, attention and judgement.
Our perspective is that AI adoption should begin with a clear question: which part of the work needs to improve, and how will that improvement help the person doing it?
Keeping learning at the centre
Introducing technology also means helping people become comfortable using it. Learning, asking questions and sharing experience all have a place in that process.
We see teamwork as an essential part of making change useful. Colleagues bring different perspectives on what works, where difficulties arise and what needs further attention. Those conversations help connect technology with the realities of everyday work.
People behind the progress
As Netatech continues its work in water and environmental engineering, our view is that technical progress and people development belong together. Tools can support the process; people bring the expertise and responsibility needed to apply them well.
We are pleased to share this CNA feature as a look at Netatech’s workforce transformation journey and the role AI can play in supporting employees.
